Information we collect
We collect account information (email address, authentication data), membership application content (name, background, professional and academic information, self-certified financial status, and any other information you choose to submit), profile information, topic and post activity, comments, private access requests and approval status, private document access and view activity, investment indications, funding and wire reference details, redemption requests, referral and marketing attribution data, and communications you send us.
How we use information
We use this information to operate and secure the service; to review membership applications and administer private access and investment workflows; to send account, transactional, and service communications; to maintain records for compliance, audit, and recordkeeping purposes related to private securities offerings; to understand how the service is used; and to improve our research, product, and outreach.
Authentication & service providers
Account authentication and our database are handled through Supabase. Transactional email is sent through Resend. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own security and data-handling practices. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Legal and compliance disclosure
We may retain and disclose information as required to comply with applicable securities laws and regulatory recordkeeping obligations, to respond to lawful requests from regulators or courts, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PolyResearch, our users, or others.
Data retention
We retain account and transaction-related information for as long as your account is active and for a period afterward as needed to satisfy legal, tax, audit, and recordkeeping obligations related to private securities offerings, after which it is deleted or anonymized where feasible.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including access controls and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from non-essential marketing and nudge emails at any time via the link in those emails or your email preferences page. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us, subject to our legal and recordkeeping obligations, which may limit our ability to delete certain records related to private securities activity.
Children's privacy
PolyResearch is not directed to, and does not knowingly collect information from, individuals under the age of 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
