Investors looking at the fund's mixed forward outlook are now forced to navigate the final wind-down timeline, with trading ceasing on August 26 and final liquidation slated for August 31, 2026.

Looking closely at the structural construction of DVXB, its strategy relies on a long/short total-return swap on XLB paired with roughly a 40% cash buffer. While designed to temper volatility, this architecture severely handicapped returns relative to the broader Natural Resources category average of 33.5%. With U.S. ISM Manufacturing hovering near contractionary levels around 48.5 and Chinese PMI stalling near 49, the macro backdrop failed to generate the industrial demand needed to validate the fund's muted-beta approach before the trust announced its plan of termination.
